Hotspot & Radius Server SBR453-1U-HS is available in Rack-optimized 1U System.
SBR453-1U-HS can provide Hotspot Services (incl. bandwidth management) to more than 4000 users concurrently. It has a TCP-throughput (Interrnet to Hotspot) of more than 700Mbit/s.
Installed Radius Server Database can be used for local authentication as well as for authentications from remote hotspot gateways. Data of Radius Server will be mirrored to the second Harddisk (integrated).

Through SBR453-1U-HS System, in connection with access points, you can offer your customers a mobile internet access over hotspot. When the customers open their browser, the Hotspot Server presents the log in site of your company and requests for the input of a password. You can charge fees for this service or offer it for free to your guest/customer.
You can individually assign the internet bandwidth for each user. The account of the units takes place depending on: on-line time, speed, or volume of data. The payment can take place before the use or afterwards.
The Hotspot server is administered by the provided user friendly software for Windows.

. Preconfigured user and group templates can be adapted according to your tariffs. You can print several access cards in advance from any printer device. Appropriate example solutions for access cards (business cards format) are also provided.
If you wish that some customers come without login into the internet, you simply use as username the MAC-Address of the computer, or simply use the LAN interface of SBR450-1U-HS .
With SBR453-1U-HS hotspot system you will have also a VPN access controller, for further 5000 VPN connections, that way data will be encryped over all access points. The hardware provided has enough resources (dual Core 2x1.86 GHz CPU 1GB memory) to settle around such tasks and is far superior to many other In-a-Box solutions.
Hotspot or VPN account is per user provided. You may assign hotspot accounts to usuall customers and VPN account to regular customers or co-workers.

. In addition you can have 2 accounts per user, that way the user can decide how they get in the internet.
Two application examples:
In a cure clinical centre patients can use Internet as soon as the Browser opens and authenticate. The doctors
connect with the LAN-Network (wireless) giving WPA/WPA2 key. The doctors can so access the internal network (LAN) from all rooms and access the patient data.
A similar example would be with students and teachers in classrooms. Students logi on to the Hotspot, as soon as they start the Internet Browser. They get a certain range of bandwidth which is assigned, however students neither can access other students computers nor the teachers resources. Teachers use the same accesspoint hardware in the room, however they connect (through WPA2 key, known only from teachers) to the second virtual net of the accesspoint. So can teachers access to their internal documents.
