With WDS (Wireless distribution system) one marks a wireless network to be expanded using multiple access points without the need for a wired backbone to link them, as is traditionally required. Only the power supply for each individual access point is necessary.
This is to realize that with alternative firmware, which are developed for this device for years. Please consider, if you are not using original Linksys firmware you cannot expect, a manufacturer support.
